In DIA

Who are we? We are the light of the lamp because wherever we go, we shine. We get highlighted, be it good or bad.

I want to talk about our land on which we live, love, laugh and cry. Undoubtedly the land where we are breathing is out of this world. It is the land where touching feet of elders takes you to the long life and fasting for your husband and kids carry their lives for long. It is the place where the wife puts Sindoor on her forehead and wears Mangalsutra in her neck for her husband’s safety. The land where people survive on faith, the place where your neighbors and friends are much closer than your blood pals. It is the land where we don’t compare with the best, here we compare with the person whom we rub our shoulders.

The beauty, glory and pride peeps from every corner of this nation. The cultures, the dances, the traditions, the dresses, the crops, the flora and fauna is simply unique. Different colours at different parts of the country makes it more appealing, be it white snow at Rohtang Pass, the yellow Sarson crop or the desert. The land isn’t beautiful because of any celebrity. It is beautiful because of our Bengal Tigers, Nilgiri Langurs and many more. The festivals like Holi, Baisakhi, Eid, Christmas, etc adds beauty to it. The spicy food which is famous worldwide is another different and unique thing of our country. From Sabut Lal Mirch to Dhaniya Powder, a tinge of it changes the taste. The handicrafts, the paintings, the sculptures all have their own stories.

From Sitar to Sarod to Santoor, all have their own melodies and the way of playing each one of them is more significant than the other. The land where we have different languages at each corner but still we understand the most common language and that is of emotions, gestures and eye contact.

The colourful land, the inCredible India …
