Reserving the Nation

What comes in your mind when I say the word reservation? Is it related to travelling, is it related to the quota? What is it? Here I am talking about reservation for different castes.

Well I don’t understand why there is so much of confusion where the reservation is concerned. Why there is so much of chaos created? Why can’t we keep all the castes, religions on one platform and decide on merit basis. When you fill up a form, there is general quota which has lost its significance and then there are many followers like SC/ST, OBC etc. and now soon will be coming up for Jats, Gujjars, Rajputs and everyone. Soon the people who are falling in general category will be considered as minors.

You give an exam; if you score within cut off list then you’re through else you’re out. Now where the confusion is? Why the 100 seats are distributed in 60+20+15 and 5. Why can’t we have 100 seats for the top 100 whatsoever? The system should be merit based not the religion or caste based.

And what is with the agitation movements? If the government isn’t providing the reservation to some caste then the people of that caste will harm the civilians with their rude attitude, acts and behavior. What is the fault of the normal citizens who are not even part of the whole scenario? Moreover the majority of the protestors don’t even know the reason for protesting. Just by following their uncivilized leader they become the part of the movement without knowing the outcome. What if they lose their life in this? Who will gain from it? The answer is simple and clear and i.e. No one.

If you have guts and can dare to fight, then do it with courage by being part of the same system and not on the edge of some threat.
