Grand Parents

Grandparents are sort of sprinkle stardust over the lives of children’

The name itself suggest that they are grand than parents. They’re grand in their cute and majestic appearance, grand in their attitude, and very grand in their love and affection.

Grandparents are such a solace to the children, who are gifted to them as the most loving members in the house. They are the only one who teaches us Humaneness which we would have missed in their absence. They are the first best friends in each and every kid’s life. They play with kids, listen to their all day long stories, make them sleep and look after them in the best possible manner. They're the part and witness of your naughtiness and savior from your parents when you do something which you aren't supposed to do. They guard you each and every time.

My story is much similar to this. I was in pre-primary when my both the grandparents were alive. There are many memories of them which I still carry and will carry till the end. The people who used to see me off when I used to go to school and the same people used to wait for me at the time of my arrival from the school. My grandma was the woman with immense patience I’ve ever seen till now or rather I won’t see ever now. I used to remember each and every name of my classmates and so I used to take attendance of my class and innocently she used to reply with every roll call made. The patience level can be seen with my bad eating habits. I used to consume a single chapatti in 1 Hour 30 Minutes. After every bite I used to go for my cycle round and then again come back for next bite. My Mumma gave up on me but she didn’t.

My Grandpa, who was supposed to be very strict and all the synonyms possible as mentioned by my dad and elders is so much lenient with me that it’s just unimaginable. I used to sleep on his bed (which was like a dream for my dad and his brothers), used to clean my hands and face with his towel after eating Non-Veg food, but he never complained.

And I came up with this topic, which is the important part of our lives. I see these Old Best Friends each morning when they are standing at the Bus Stops of their grandchildren’s school bus. They carry their bag and a bottle of water in one hand and on the other side the kid is holding their finger and the children are busy with their respective stories which they listen to with full keen and interest. And at the time of their arrival, they do wait for them and their bus, standing under the sun with the smile on their face and ready to involve themselves in their stories again.

And above all and everything, it’s their blessings whatever we’re today and whatever we will be tomorrow.

Nayi Kahani ...

Jab tu ruth ke bethe mujhse, har pal saza lagti hai…
Awaaz teri main na sunu to, apne jeene pe shak hota hai…

Hoti hai tu pal bhar ke liye dur, to duniya adhuri si lagti hai…
Paas aate hi tere, har cheez apni si lagti hai…

Khoya rahata hun main tere khwaabon mein, teri baaton mein...
Intezaar karta hun ki kab dekhunga main khud ko teri nigaahon mein…

Tera intezaar hi hai jo humse hota nahi,
Tera pyaar hi hai jo mujhe tere paas kheech laata hai…
